Biography[]
Child's Play:[]
While Maggie is on her break, she notices there's a street peddler wandering around the back of the department store. She sees that he has a Good Guy doll named Chucky for a cheap price, and Karen's son, Andy wants one for his birthday. She immediately rushes inside to Karen and urges her to get the doll. While they were out, their boss, Mr. Criswell finds them both absent, and scolds them for leaving their post when they return. As Karen is forced to replace another employee's shift that night, Maggie babysits Andy.
That night goes by uneventfully, but when she tells Andy to get ready for bed, Andy says that Chucky wants to stay up and watch the 9 o'clock news. Thinking, he is playing, Maggie sends Andy to brush his teeth, but confronts him again when she finds Chucky on the couch with the TV on. Although Andy denies moving Chucky, Maggie thinks Andy is playing a joke. She tucks him into bed, kisses him in the cheek, then goes to read a book while listening to a movie.
Chucky slips out of Andy's bedroom and begins to prowl around, frightening Maggie. At first Maggie thinks it is Andy again, but as she explores the apartment she finds nothing. She notices that the front of the door has been opened and when she locks it, she is spooked by a noise coming from the kitchen. Maggie enters the kitchen and finds out that a bowl of sugar had fallen down and spilled. Maggie turns around and a hammer is thrown at her she screams and falls out of the kitchen window, landing on a car.
